The report does not address the free dinghy dock being eliminated, causing boaters to pay a minimum of $10 or more to the operators of the boat hoist. The dinghy dock may be needed for boaters after they launch their boast via the ramp.

I'm glad to see that there are bike lane facilities included in the resurfacing project, but I wish that these plans included Class IV bike lanes (fully protected) instead of the Class II lanes (paint). Is there any way that Class IV bike lanes with bollards or curbs can be added to the plans and specifications for this $5 million project? Notably the South Bay Bicycle Coalition's Bike Master Plan does not include any Class IV bikeways because the master plan was published in 2011 and the Class IV designation was only recognized by the state of California in 2014. So I believe we need to go beyond implementing the bicycle master plan, and commit to implementing Complete Streets for street resurfacing projects on major streets like Manhattan Beach Blvd. Only Class IV bike lanes (curbs, bollards) provide adequate safety for vulnerable road users. With more people choosing to bike for transportation in Redondo, and with MB Blvd connecting to major job centers and public transit hubs, it is very important that we take this opportunity to build safe, protected biking infrastructure on MB Blvd.

I support this plan for rolling out zero emissions buses. I also support a continued focus on multi-modal transportation options such as buses, light rail, and safe biking infrastructure so that we can reduce car traffic and emissions and make things safer for everyone trying to get around town. Does BCT collect input from its riders on route improvements? I know some BCT riders that have some feedback on routes.
Also it would be helpful for the city to work on first- and last-mile bicycle and pedestrian connections to the RB transit center and Metro station (especially if the station is not located at the transit center). Improving our BCT fleet is the first step to strengthening our transit system! Thank you!
