My name; Amir Nassif I am a Redondo Beach resident and work as a developer in Redondo Beach.
I really admire all the courtesy and efficiency of your staff at the counter, from planning, engineering, building and safety. As a City Of redondo Beach employee They reflect a good image to the public, as an employee they deserve to be appreciated from the officials perspective.
I work with all those departments throughout the process of getting the building permit on each project.
I appreciate their hard work and promptness to any request..
For the last 2 projects I had to pay the expedite fees in order to keep going with my projects.
I think there is a shortage of personnel on the plan check-in.

I reached out about a Guest RV Parking Permit and received a highly competent, prompt, and very friendly response! She guided me through the process, and when it turned out that I had provided incorrect dates for the issued and emailed her about it, she immediately sent me a corrected parking pass! I have been a resident of Redondo Beach since 2002, and I love it here. Maybe some of the greatness of this city stems from the excellent employees at City Hall? Certainly, and unless Lorraine is an outlier, you appear to have a fantastic team.

My Redondo Beach Animal Control experience -
Hello Neighbors,
I just wanted to write and share about my recent experience with Redondo Beach Animal Control. A feral community cat that I have been caring for went missing in the middle of March. I received a call from Redondo Animal Control 9 weeks later about Bubu being found. Sadly, he was deceased. He did have health issues and it appears that he had gone away to a quiet place to hide and pass. I got the news via voicemail and Officer Villalobos, who picked up Bubu and contacted me, expressed his condolence and sadness. I needed more information but by the time I called the department back, Officer Villalobos was already off work. He still called me back (during his off hours) and gave me all the info I needed to retrieve Bubu's body. He assured me that they will hold onto his body and that it wont be discarded even though it was badly decomposed.
The next day, Officer Garcia, a different Animal control officer, very kindly brought Bubu's body to me so I could take him to Pet Haven in Gardena for cremation. My experiences with both Officers were wonderful and I appreciate their kindness and compassion so much during this loss.
The phone admin Loraine at the department was also wonderful and kind. She called to follow up and coordinated for Bubu's return to me. I also received a condolence card in the mail from them.
I am grateful for their work and sensitivity while serving our community.
Thank you to the neighbor for calling Animal Control when he found Bubu's body in ..his yard badly decomposed, so Animal Control could still scan him and lead him home.
Bubu, may you RIP sweet kitty. Your life mattered, and you are so loved. We will forever miss you.
