A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
REDONDO BEACH, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING A CARRY
OVER OF UNEXPENDED BALANCE OF CALRECYCLE SB1383
LOCAL ASSISTANCE GRANT FUNDS FROM THE
INTERGOVERNMENTAL GRANTS FUND AND APPROPRIATE
TO THE 2023-2024 FISCAL YEAR PUBLIC WORKS
OPERATING BUDGET
WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Redondo Beach (“City Council”) to review the adopted budget from time to time; and WHEREAS, the City of Redondo Beach’s (“City”) has an unexpended balance in the Intergovernmental Grants Fund of $94,715 from SB1383 Local Assistance Grant funds; and WHEREAS, the City is required to expend these funds in compliance with the CalRecycle Local Assistance grant; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to appropriate $94,715 from the Intergovernmental Grants Fund to the City Public Works Department 2023-2024 Fiscal Year Operating Budget, to complete the grant programming activities and eligible purchases within the grant operational period; and WHEREAS, the funds are available in the Intergovernmental Grants Fund and are required to be carried forward into Fiscal Year 2023-2024 to fulfill the grant requirements.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDONDO BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the amounts allocated in the budget for Fiscal Year 2023-2024 and the amounts required to meet conditions which have arisen during the budget year, require a modification in the budget appropriations; and, upon recommendation of the City Manager, the budget appropriation as adopted for Fiscal Year 2023-2024 is modified as follows:
$94,715 from the Intergovernmental Grants Fund shall be appropriated to the City Public Works Department 2023-2024 Fiscal Year Operating Budget, SB1383 Operating Account SECTION 2: Pursuant to Section 11(f) of the City Charter, the City Clerk is hereby directed to correct the budget records of said City for Fiscal Year 2023-2024 in accordance with the above modification.
SECTION 3: That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and shall enter the same in the Book of Original Resolution.
