Hello,
I am a resident of Redondo living at 807 Diamond Street.
I received the proposal to reschedule street sweeping from 11:00AM-2:00PM to 7:00AM-8:00AM on Thursdays.
There are a couple of reasons why I believe this change to be problematic.
1. There is often a decent amount of Redondo Union High School traffic at that time (parents dropping off their kids/ city busses arriving). This may hinder the effectiveness or the efficiency of sweeping during that hour in the morning here.
2. I often work 12-14+ hour days in my occupation. If there comes a Thursday that I do not work (my leave request is currently in for this Thursday the 14th), I would rather relax until 10A than possibly have to relocate my vehicle at 630A.
I see that a tighter window may be nice since there is more cumulative parking time, but I have never had to look very hard to locate a parking spot between 11:00AM and 2:00PM on a Thursday.
I really do appreciate your efforts to make Redondo even better than it already is. I just do not think this proposed improvement would outweigh the downsides at this time.
