A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDONDO
BEACH, CALIFORNIA, RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL OF
THE FUNDING REQUEST CERTIFICATION TO THE DEPARTMENT
OF RESOURCES RECYCLING AND RECOVERY (CALRECYCLE)
FOR PAYMENT PROGRAMS AND RELATED AUTHORIZATIONS
WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Resources Code sections 48000 et seq., 14581, and 42023.1(g), CalRecycle has established various payment programs to make payments to qualifying jurisdictions; and
WHEREAS, in furtherance of this authority CalRecycle is required to establish procedures governing the administration of the payment programs; and WHEREAS, CalRecycle’s procedures for administering payment programs require, among other things, an applicant’s governing body to declare by resolution certain authorizations related to the administration of the payment program.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDONDO BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City of Redondo Beach is authorized to submit the Application Certification provided it is in the same substantive form as Exhibit A to CalRecycle for any and all payment programs offered.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor, City Manager, or the Public Works Director, is hereby authorized as the Signature Authority to execute all documents necessary to implement and secure payment; and
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by the City Council and are effective for five years from the date of adoption.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and shall enter the same in the Book of Original Resolutions.
