1 FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT
FOR LEGAL SERVICES BETWEEN THE CITY OF REDONDO BEACH
AND MANNING & KASS, ELLROD, RAMIREZ, TRESTER LLP
This First Amendment to the Agreement for Legal Services (“First Amendment”) is made between the City of Redondo Beach, a chartered municipal corporation (“City”) and Manning & Kass, Ellrod, Ramirez, Trester LLP (“Attorney”).
WHEREAS, on April 21, 2015, the parties entered into the Agreement for Legal Services between the City and Attorney (previously Manning & Kass, Ellrod, Martinez, Trester LLP) (the “Agreement”); and
WHEREAS, the parties desire to amend the legal name of Attorney and compensation for Attorney.
NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the promises and mutual covenants contained herein, and intending to be legally bound, the parties hereby agree to make the following amendments to the Agreement:
1. SECTION 3.1 Compensation Amount. Section 3.1 of the Agreement is hereby amended to adjust Attorney rates as follows:
Partner rate is increasing to $275 from $250;
Associate rate increasing to $225 from $200; and
Paralegal rate increasing from $135 to $120.
2. The name of Attorney is hereby amended from Manning & Kass, Ellrod, Martinez, Trester LLP to Manning & Kass, Ellrod, Ramirez, Trester LLP.
3. No Other Amendments. The Agreement and this First Amendment constitute the entire agreement between the parties and supersede any previous oral or written agreement with respect to the subject matter hereof. In the event of any inconsistency between the terms of the Agreement and this First Amendment, the terms of this First amendment shall govern.
