TITLE
APPROVE THE THIRD AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH ROBERT HALF, INC. FOR
STAFF AUGMENTATION SERVICES FOR COMPUTER REPLACEMENT AND HARDWARE/SOFWTARE SUPPORT FOR AN ADDITIONAL $25,000 OF WORK, INCREASING THE TOTAL NOT TO EXCEED AMOUNT TO $59,999, FOR THE EXISTING TERM THROUGH JUNE 30, 2024
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The City currently holds an agreement with Robert Half, Inc. (Robert Half) for as-needed, staff augmentation services. An immediate need exists in the IT Department to provide continued operational services while making progress on the Department’s projects including the deployment of approximately 450 new staff desktop and laptop computers. The proposed Amendment will provide the funding needed to maintain two Robert Half consultants while the Department seeks candidates to fill two positions that are currently vacant.
BACKGROUND
On October 18, 2023, the City Council approved an agreement with Robert Half for staff augmentation services in support of various technology operations. This includes end-user computing support, systems administration, and staffing to assist with the deployment of over 1,000 pieces of new computer hardware purchased within the last year.
The Information Technology Department (Department) has been operating with between a 15% and 28% vacancy rate over the course of the last year due to two retirements, an unplanned vacancy within the Department, and an internal promotion that both filled an open position and created a vacancy. Of the Department’s three currently vacant positions, one is scheduled to be filled on May 20, 2024, while the other two positions require job specification updates that are expected to be presented to Council in late May.
Robert Half has provided a number of highly-skilled and effective consultants that have assisted the Department over the past several months while ongoing recruitments take place. The proposed contract amendment will help ensure critical IT services and projects are delivered in the City until the staff vacancies are filled.

The City Attorney’s Office Prepared the proposed contract amendment.
