Notice of Partial Driving Automation Feature
Your vehicle is equipped with the partial driving automation feature(s) noted below. Please read features.
Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go and Lane Centering Your vehicle is equipped with Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go and Lane Centering, and may have Speed Sign Recognition and Predictive Speed Assist as optional Adaptive Cruise Control enhancements.
These features may be included as part of different Ford Co-Pilot360 Technology packages like Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist 2.0 or Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist+, and Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go uses radar and camera sensors to maintain a set gap between your vehicle and the vehicle in front of you while following it to a complete stop. Lane Centering scans the lane markings to help you stay in your lane. You are still expected to keep your eyes on the road and your hands on the steering wheel.
Requirements
The system detects both lane markings, and the lane is not too narrow or too wide.
Your hands are on the steering wheel.
Lane Centering (or Lane Centering Assist) is enabled in your SYNC screen. For location, The radar sensor has a limited field of view. It may not detect vehicles at all or detect a vehicle later than expected in some situations. The lead vehicle image does not illuminate if the system does not detect a vehicle in front of you. In these cases, the system may brake late or unexpectedly.
Optimal system performance requires a clear view of the road by the windshield-mounted camera. Optimal performance may not occur if:
o The camera is blocked.
o There is poor visibility or lighting conditions.
o There are bad weather conditions.
Lane Centering may not correctly operate in any of the following conditions:
o The lane is too narrow or wide.
o The system does not detect at least one lane marking or when lanes merge or split. o Limited steering torque input is applied.
o Areas under construction or new infrastructure.
o When modifications to the steering system have been made. o When using a spare tire
o In high wind conditions
Note: The driving assistance torque is limited and may not be sufficient for all driving situations such as driving through tight curves or driving through curves at high speeds.

Enhancements
Speed sign recognition
o Speed Sign Recognition uses a sensor behind the interior mirror to detect speed signs.
Detected speed signs appear in the instrument cluster display. o Speed sign recognition may not operate correctly due to outdated map data, incorrect reading of speed limits by the sensor of signs on parallel roads or exit ramps, missed recognition of faded, dirty, or distorted signs.
Predictive Speed Assist
o Predictive Speed Assist works with adaptive cruise control and adjusts the vehicle speed to road geometry and to the speed limit detected by the speed sign recognition system.
As the system identifies select curves and highway exits, the vehicle speed temporarily decreases ahead of and during the changing road geometry. When passing new speed signs, the set speed updates.
o The road geometry and speed limit information provided by the navigation map data could be inaccurate or out of date. The system may not detect and read speed limit signs with conditional information, for example, when a sign is flashing, during specific time ranges, or when children are present. Note: The system does not set the vehicle speed to speed limits shown with a supplementary traffic sign. o Under certain conditions, the system may not adjust the vehicle speed until after your vehicle passes the speed limit. Detection of road geometry operates only where related information is available. Road geometry information may not be available in some areas. o The system only applies limited braking. You can override the system with the accelerator pedal or cancel the system by applying the brakes.
Always watch the road and be prepared to resume full control of the vehicle.
Like all Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, these features are supplemental and do not need to control the vehicle. They do not replace
driving.
