Dear Joseph,
I watched the Redondo Beach Charter Advisory Committee meeting on February 22, 2024.
The purpose of this email is to address inaccurate information shared at this meeting.
In late October, it was brought to my attention that the $ 250 expense allowance received by the Board members since 2005 was a potential issue, per the Redondo Beach city charter. Upon receiving this information, I made certain all such payments to all five board members ceased.
1 No board member receives any payment( s) except for allowable necessary and actual itemized expenses that are submitted for reimbursement with evidence of payment ( i. e. receipts).
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
I am requesting this information be shared with Mr. Webb, so he is aware that all payments have ceased for all board members at the same time. I shared this information with Mr. Strutzenberg when he inquired on February 21.
