EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This item provides City Council an opportunity to approve and authorize dissemination of an updated comment letter regarding the Right-of-Way (ROW) and/or Hybrid Right-of-Way (Hybrid ROW) Options for the proposed Metro C Line Extension to Torrance Project.
BACKGROUND
On May 7, 2024, the City Council (with Council Member Behrendt recused, Council Member Loewenstein absent) discussed drafting a follow-up letter to address the Right-of-Way and/or Hybrid Right-of-Way (Hybrid ROW) Options for the proposed Metro C Line Extension to Torrance Project. To provide time for additional editing, the Council requested the letter be placed on the consent calendar for consideration of approval as part of the May 14, 2024 agenda. The attached draft contains additional information as redline edits that will be included in the final version of the letter, pending verification.
Following approval, the updated letter will be sent to Metro officials and councilmembers and mayors in the South Bay Cities Council of Governments (SBCCOG), as directed.
