MEASURE M COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT
METRO ACTIVE TRANSPORT (MAT) PROGRAM
This Amendment No. 1 to the Cooperative Agreement (the “Amendment"), is dated as of September 27, 2023, by and between the City of Redondo Beach, Los Angeles County Department of Public Works (LACDPW), and City of Lawndale ("PROJECT COSPONSORS") and the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (“LACMTA”).
RECITALS
A. PROJECT SPONSORS and LACMTA entered into that certain Cooperative Agreement No. 9200000000MATD1104, dated August 19, 2021, (the "Existing CA"), which Existing CA provides for the Redondo Beach Active Transportation Project for Early Planning, Environmental/Planning, and Plans, Specifications and Estimates (PS&E) (up to 15%-level design), (the “Project”); and
B. WHEREAS, the PROJECT SPONSORS and LACMTA desire to program an additional $59,000 in Measure M Funds from $351,900 to $410,900. This amount is within the Board authorized budget for the PROJECT; and
C. WHEREAS, the Funds are currently programmed for the Project as follows: $33,000 in Measure M Funds in FY 2021-22, and $377,900 in Measure M Funds in FY 2022-23; and
D. PROJECT SPONSORS and LACMTA desire to amend the Existing CA as provided herein.

AGREEMENT
NOW, THEREFORE, for good and valuable consideration, the receipt and adequacy of which are hereby acknowledged, the parties hereby agree as follows:
1. Part I, Paragraph 2.2 of the Existing CA is hereby amended by deleting it in its entirety and replacing it with the following: “To the extent the Measure M Funds are available; LACMTA shall program the Measure M funds in the amount of $410,900 (the “Funds”) for the PROJECT. The Funds are programmed over two years for Fiscal Years (FY) FY 2021-22 and FY 2022-23.”
2. Part I, Paragraph 10 of Existing CA is hereby amended to change LACMTA’s project manager to Cameron Palm, phone 213.547.4276, email [email protected].
3. Part I, Paragraph 11 of Existing CA is hereby amended to change PROJECT CO-SPONSORS' project manager to Andrew Winje, phone 310.318.0661, email [email protected] for City of Redondo Beach, Maggie Cheung, phone 626.979.5464, email [email protected] for LACDPW, and Nick Petrevski, phone 310.973.3265, email [email protected] for City of Lawndale.
4. Attachment A of the Existing CA is hereby replaced by Attachment A-1 attached.
5. Except as expressly amended hereby, the Existing CA remains in full force and effect as originally executed. All rights and obligations of the parties under the Existing CA that are not expressly amended by this Amendment shall remain unchanged.
