WAVE Senior/Disabled Dial-A-Ride:
The WAVE Dial-A-Ride provides paratransit service for senior/disabled residents of the cities of Redondo Beach and Hermosa Beach. The WAVE provides shared-ride transportation to destinations within Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach and several designated satellite facilities in adjacent communities of Manhattan Beach and Torrance, as shown in the map below. The WAVE is a curb-to-curb dial-a-ride service providing same day service, advanced reservation service, subscription service and group service.
Same day services may be requested within two hours of a client’s request, pending vehicle availability. Advance reservations can be made 24 hours ahead of requested trip time, and subscription service (Standing Order trips) may be scheduled up to 7 days in advance. Group services are also offered to five or more eligible riders with a 24 hour notice. The WAVE Dial-A-Ride operates service Monday through Friday 6:00 AM to 8:30 PM, and Saturday and Sunday 8 AM to 8:30 PM, with reduced service hours from 8 AM to 5 PM on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
