TITLE
APPROVE CANCELLATION OF THE JULY 2, 2024 REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING AND AGENCY MEETINGS AND RESCHEDULE TO JULY 9, 2024
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Staff recommends that the City Council consider the cancellation of the Regular City Council, Community Financing Authority (CFA), and Parking Authority (PA) meetings in July (scheduled for July 2, 2024) due to them falling during the week of the 4th of July holiday. The City Council meeting, along with agency meetings, would be rescheduled to be held on July 9, 2024. Staff also recommends postponing Commissioner interviews to a later date to allow for the consolidation of select commissions.
The second Regular City Council meeting is scheduled for July 16, 2024 and an Adjourned Regular meeting will be held on July 23, 2024 in which Warrants may be approved or Ordinances adopted.
BACKGROUND
The first regularly scheduled City Council, CFA, and PA meetings in July 2024 fall during the week of 4th of July (Independence Day), a national holiday. If Council wished to choose an alternate date, it would be considered a Special Meeting in which Warrants may not be approved or Ordinances adopted.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no fiscal impact associated with this item.
