REDONDO BEACH 2024-2025 BUDGET MOTION
Councilmember Kaluderovic
➢ Prioritize the Police Department Shooting Range as my #1 CIP priority for 2024-2025 o “A proposal must include a third-party cost validation based on the level of design completed to date, so less progress on design potentially weakens the accuracy of a third-party cost estimate. The proposal will be evaluated based on its evidence to commence construction within twelve (12) months of funding, and a proposal for a project that has not yet entered the design phase will likely receive a lower construction readiness score.”
o To cover costs of planning, design, Environmental/NEPA documentation, any other pre-construction engineering costs, and a 3rd party cost validation. ▪ Carry over $543,984 from the previous year
▪ Last year $1,056,251 was removed for other projects and allocated to the general fund last year. Should a bond pass in November to fund the renovation/rebuild of public safety facilities, the $500,000 in CIP allocated for Police and Fire Station improvements will be redirected to the Police Station Shooting Range to restore the needed funds. ➢ Accept DP#4: Police Department Master Fee Update with the below amendment:
