Decision Package #30 - Contract Plan Check Services for the Building Division. There has been a recent increase in plan check submittal through the Building & Safety Division.
In FY 2022-23, the Division was staffed with two full-time plan check reviewers and utilized outside consultant services to reduce turn-around times and ensure that plan check review was done in a timely manner. The Community Development Department is seeking an additional year of supplemental contract plan check services to maintain existing customer service levels and to continue to reduce turnaround time for the review of projects.
Recommended is a one-time General Fund appropriation of $120,000.
