I think these are awful proposed changes. 1) permit fee doubled. 2) $2 an hour to park. 3) no free parking at holidays. 4) red ribbons on meters a waste of money and will anger folks due to the above changes. Sincerely, Nancy Skiba.

Just received an email from Nils regarding the proposed parking fee changes.
Here is my reaction:
I would love, love, love it if you would eliminate holiday free parking. I have a client based business and many are often 20 minutes late and stressed out from circling the Village looking for parking As an employee permit holder I wouldn’t mind the $10 jump to $70 for a permit The jump to $200 for an annual pass is huge , $125 might be okay Sent from my iPhone
5. Spend $19,000 on red bows to place on all of the parking meters in the Village, get the Riviera Business Improvement District to pay for the bows.
This is a total wast of money and will not drive biz to the area.
The free parking did, but no body needs bows. Save this money for something useful. Please don’t be wasteful with bows or this money. No body needs them. Unless this is
instead of other decorations I would not recommend you vote on this.
Thank you for hearing my thoughts!
