N.1. 24-1120 DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING
PICKLEBALL PLAY AND COURT MANAGEMENT IN THE CITY DISCUSSION
AND POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING THE INSTALLATION OF PICKLEBALL
COURT LINES ON ONE OR TWO OF THE TENNIS COURTS LOCATED AT
ALTA VISTA PARK

Decibel testing did not specify how many pickleball players were playing simultaneously and it did not specify their skill level. Beginner-level players would likely play quieter than more advanced/competitive players. Decibel testing should have accounted for a maximum of 16 people playing pickleball simultaneously. That would be four players on four courts, all of which fit within the space of one tennis court. Tennis players will not want to play next to that many pickleball players. Tennis players won't be able to hear each other call out the score. - Jeff Haas (310) 850-0900, been playing tennis on these courts for over 20 years.
