Re: Consideration of Salary Adjustment for Elected City Attorney Position in Advance of the March 2025 Election
Dear City Council
On August 8th, the Budget and Finance Commission reviewed and discussed the salary report prepared by staff. The report provided by staff only considered comparable salaries of nearby cities.
The report did not compare job requirements, staff sizes, department budgets, caseloads, outsourced services, and other performance metrics. With the limited information in the report, the Commission was unable to make a recommendation on whether to increase, decrease, or maintain the current salary for the City Attorney position.
