I. Description of work included in the contract:
The project includes: constructing bike lane improvements along various streets within the City. These improvements include: removal of conflicting striping, installation of new thermoplastic striping and legends, bike lane signing, and bicycle detection system at key intersections as identified by the plans and specifications; street widening, removal and installation of storm drain catch basin, manhole, and pipes; and other work per Plans and Specifications.
II. Changes ordered:
The following changes have been ordered:
Addition of Additive Alternative Bid Item: Slurry Seal Catalina Avenue & Beryl Street.
III. Reasons for the changes:
Slurry Seal item was an additive alternative item that originally had no funding available for. Available funding sources have been identified and the work will create a complete street, with striping and paving improvements.
