A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDONDO
BEACH, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING THE SALARY RANGE FOR THE
POSITION OF PRINCIPAL TRANSPORTATION ENGINEER
WHEREAS, pursuant to Sections 2-3.502 and 2-3.503 of Article 5, Chapter 3, Title 2, and Sections 2-3.1002 and 2-3.1003 of Article 10, Chapter 3, Title 2 of the Redondo Beach Municipal Code, the Mayor and City Council of the City of Redondo Beach ("City Council') shall set forth from time to time the Class Titles, Specifications, and salary ranges for job classifications; and, WHEREAS, on September 3, 2024, the City Council adopted Resolution No. CC-2409- 074 to amend the Official Book of Class Specifications to add the position of Principal Transportation Engineer; and,
WHEREAS, it is also necessary to adopt the salary range for the position of Principal Transportation Engineer to reflect such action of the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDONDO BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That a salary range of $9,170 - $11,912 per month is hereby adopted for the position of Principal Transportation Engineer, in accordance with the scope of responsibilities of the position, and as previously approved by City Council on September 3, 2024.
SECTION 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by the City Council.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and shall enter the same in the Book of Original Resolutions.
