Judicial Council Memorandum of Understanding Amendment Number 1 to Agreement Number 96641 With City of Redondo Beach
FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING FOR GRANT FUNDS
BETWEEN THE JUDICIAL COUNCIL OF CALIFORNIA AND THE CITY OF REDONDO BEACH
THIS FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING FOR GRANT FUNDS (“First Amendment”) is made between the City of Redondo Beach, a chartered municipal corporation (“City”) and the Judicial Council of California (“Council”), a state entity established by the California Constitution.
WHEREAS, on September 1, 2023, the parties hereto originally entered into that certain Memorandum of Understanding for Grant Funds between the City and Council (“MOU”); and WHEREAS, the MOU states the effective date for the term of the MOU shall remain in full force and effect until 365 days after the Grant Funds are received by the City, unless sooner terminated or extended; and
WHEREAS, the City received the Grant Funds on February 13, 2024; and WHEREAS, the parties hereto desire to amend the MOU pursuant to the terms and conditions set forth herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereby agree to make the following amendments to the MOU:
1. Term. Section 1 is amended to extend the term of the MOU to February 28, 2027. The City shall continue to perform all services described in Exhibit “A” of the MOU, in accordance with the amended term. The City shall continue to fulfill performance and reporting requirements to the Council in accordance with Exhibit “B” of the MOU, in accordance with the amended term.
2. Modification. Except as expressly stated herein, the MOU shall remain unchanged and in full force and effect. The MOU and this First Amendment constitute the entire MOU between the parties and supersede any previous oral or written agreements with respect to the subject matter hereof. In the event of any inconsistency between the terms of the MOU and this First Amendment, the terms of this First Amendment shall govern. [SIGNATURES ON FOLLOWING PAGE]
