A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
REDONDO BEACH, CALIFORNIA, AWARDING A PUBLIC
WORKS CONTRACT TO KASA CONSTRUCTION, INC., A
CALIFORNIA CORPORATION, IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,454,853
FOR THE NORTH REDONDO BEACH BIKEWAY EXTENSION,
JOB NO. 41250
WHEREAS, the City of Redondo Beach (the “City”) desires to develop open spaces and expand bikeway infrastructure within the City; and
WHEREAS, on December 17, 2024, the City Council of the City of Redondo Beach (“City Council”) approved the Plans and Specifications for the North Redondo Beach Bikeway Extension, Job No. 41250 (the “Project”), and authorized the City Clerk to advertise the Project for competitive bids on January 16, 2025; and
WHEREAS, on February 12, 2025, bids for the Project were received and publicly opened at the City Clerk’s office; and
WHEREAS, KASA Construction, Inc., a California corporation (“KASA Construction, Inc.”) is the lowest responsible bidder for the Project, as more particularly described in the Plans and Specifications thereof, and incorporated herein by reference, and is awarded the contract for the Project in the amount of $1,454,853; and
WHEREAS, KASA Construction, Inc. shall provide all applicable insurance certificates and bonds to the City for approval prior to the execution of the contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDONDO BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Redondo Beach, California, awards the contract for the North Redondo Beach Bikeway Extension, Job No. 41250 to KASA Construction, Inc., in the amount of $1,454,853 on the condition that all applicable insurance certificates and bonds shall be provided to the City for approval prior to the Mayor executing the contract on behalf of the City.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and shall enter the same in the Book of Original Resolutions.
