related to public, health, safety

1. Documented State and local
issues with illegal tobacco
products
2. Federal studies on unique risk that
tobacco products pose to youth
3. State legislation strengthening
tobacco oversight deemed
essential to lowering youth
tobacco use
3 URGENCY ORDINANCE
1. Moratorium in place while permanent ordinance is
being prepared
2. The initial moratorium period is 45 days (June 20th)
3. Moratorium may be extended for additional 10 months
and 15 days
