A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
REDONDO BEACH, CALIFORNIA, AWARDING A PUBLIC
WORKS CONTRACT TO MARINA LANDSCAPE, INC., A
CALIFORNIA CORPORATION, IN THE AMOUNT OF
$946,560.50 FOR THE SCE ROW WEST OF PCH LANDSCAPE
IMPROVEMENTS - PHASE 1, JOB NO. 30850
WHEREAS, the City of Redondo Beach (the “City”) desires to develop open spaces within the City; and
WHEREAS, on February 18, 2025, the City Council of the City of Redondo Beach (“City Council”) approved the Plans and Specifications for the SCE ROW West of PCH Landscape Improvements - Phase 1, Job No. 30850 (the “Project”), and authorized the City Clerk to advertise the Project for competitive bids on March 6, 2025; and
WHEREAS, on April 2, 2025, bids for the Project were received and publicly opened at the City Clerk’s office; and
WHEREAS, Marina Landscape, Inc., a California corporation is the lowest responsible bidder for the Project, as more particularly described in the Plans and Specifications thereof, and incorporated herein by reference, and is awarded the contract for the Project in the amount of $946,560.50; and
WHEREAS, Marina Landscape, Inc. shall provide all applicable insurance certificates and bonds to the City for approval prior to the execution of the contract; and WHEREAS, sufficient funds have been appropriated for the Project in the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Capital Improvement Program Budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDONDO BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Redondo Beach, California, awards the contract for the SCE ROW West of PCH Landscape Improvements - Phase 1, Job No. 30850 to Marina Landscape, Inc., in the amount of $946,560.50 on the condition that all applicable insurance certificates and bonds shall be provided to the City for approval prior to the Mayor executing the contract on behalf of the City.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and shall enter the same in the Book of Original Resolutions.
