Dear Mayor Light & Council Members,
Humane World for Animals (formerly called The Humane Society of the United States), would like to commend the City of Redondo Beach on your proposed coyote management and response plan, and hope that the council will move forward to approve the plan at your meeting this evening. We are confident that this plan, with its focus on the root causes of potential conflicts with coyotes, will allow your community to effectively prevent and solve conflicts among coyotes, people, and pets.
With the passing of this plan, the City of Redondo Beach will serve as a leader in thoughtful and innovative techniques to protect both people and wildlife and a role model for other southern California communities in the prevention and management of conflicts with coyotes.
We look forward to your official adoption of your plan and would be happy to assist in any way that would be helpful.
Thank you for your time and please let me know how we may be of assistance! Sincerely,
Jenny Berg
