Article 10. Planning Commission
§ 2-9.1002. Appointment and terms of members.
The Commission shall consist of seven members. Unless otherwise authorized by the City Council, one member shall be appointed from each Council district and two members shall be appointed at large.
The original term of one member shall expire on September 30, 1998; the original term of two members shall expire on September 30, 1999; the original term of two members shall expire on September 30, 2000; and the original term of two members shall expire on September 30, 2001. The Commission shall have such powers and duties as prescribed for planning commissions under any law of the State, ordinance of the City, resolution of the City Council or the Master Plan of the City.
The Commission shall advise the Mayor and City Council in all matters relating to planning, zoning and the physical development of the City as directed by the City Council and in such other matters as may be directed by the City Council.
