RE: Request for Initial Study on Redondo Beach Fire Department Providing Fire Services to City of Hermosa Beach
Dear City Manager Witzansky:
On behalf of the City of Hermosa Beach, I am writing to formally request that the City of Redondo Beach consider conducting an initial feasibility study regarding the potential provision of fire protection and emergency medical services to the City of Hermosa Beach by the Redondo Beach Fire Department.
As neighboring coastal communities with shared boundaries and similar emergency service needs, we believe there may be significant operational efficiencies and potential cost savings through a collaborative approach to fire services.
The City of Hermosa Beach is prepared to share the costs of conducting this study and can provide all necessary data regarding our current fire protection needs and services provided by the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
