Mr. Tom Bakaly,
In your thousand game of deception, under disguise of seismic enforcement of Beach City Health District buildings, you have failed BCHD Board of Directors so many ways by spending, wastefully, millions of dollars of Tri-City taxpayers money. Perhaps it is time to give up, give in, and stop your charades.

I oppose BCHD’s scheme to take 4.5 acres of public land away from its taxpayers-owners and lease it private developers.

With great disappointment,
Abbes Khani

Public comment mayor council
I was unable to attend. I have the following comments.

Beach Cities health district is falsely claiming that the hospitals four story complex is 60 feet tall. It is not it is 51.5 feet tall. That is according to beach cities certified ER and beach cities submitted CUP of 2 – 2–22 Emergency vehicle noise has been louder and more frequent at beach cities in recent weeks. There were three on Sunday alone of last week. It’s quite clear that we receive little to no benefit as the hospital is closed. But we suffer all of the damages in the near neighborhood.

It looks like the loss rate on the trees on the median is about 10%. Since all reputable commercial nurseries provide at least the one year replacement, it seems in taxpayers best interest to get the claims filed and either take the cash or take the trees and use them either here or somewhere else. But there’s no reason to waste taxpayer funding when a claim is an obvious winner.

Motorcycle and vehicle continues without enforcement on prospect in the 500 600 range Illegal parking across driveways has lessened slightly, but is still fairly common to the point that some driveways have significant oil stains and street because of frequent parking in the street behind the driveway.

Subject: No ! to BCHD "lease" proposal!

We live less than a half-mile from the BCHD property and "hospital." ( No hospital in the last several years.)
As it is now, it is hard to identify benefits to local residents from the BCHD property.

It sure looks like the whole purpose here is to provide board and staff salaries with no focus on "healh" benefits. Why not just shut down BCHD since it provides minimal benefits to the area?
As neighbors, we frequently notice ambulances using their sirens as they drive south on Prospect, obviously bypassing the former "hospital" while heading to TMMC or Providence. Will the existing proposal change than? I think not.

Meanwhile, there is lots of evidence that homes like ours, less than 1/3 mile from the (previouslyu) BCHD campus suffer significant losses in propety values. Are these losses irrelvant to the BCHD board? Could the Board do anything to compensate neighbors who lose value, and are such losses even relevant to Board proposals to lease property for then next many decades?
Just say no to the plan for BCHD to lease land to bidders. The Board has a job to do to manage the property amd must not be allowed to hand off responsibilty to lessees, who will never care about local residents.

Subject: OPPOSE BCHD LEASE TO PRIVATE DEVELOPER

CAUTION: Email is from an external source; Stop, Look, and Think before opening attachments or links.

I OPPOSE BCHD’S SCHEME TO TAKE 4.5-ACRES OF PUBLIC LAND AWAY FROM ITS TAXPAYER-OWNERS AND LEASE IT TO PRIVATE DEVELOPERS.

The land that BCHD sits on was purchased and maintained with taxpayer funds for the emergency care South Bay Hospital. It is unacceptable for BCHD to give the land to private developers for FIVE GENERATIONS in exchange for only $1M/year.

CUT EXECUTIVE PAYROLL BY ONLY 33% TO SAVE $1M/YR
-or - CUT THE OVERALL BUDGET BY LESS THAN 7% TO SAVE $1M/YR -or- REDUCE SUBSIDIZED SERVICES BY $1M/YR AND CHARGE RECIPIENTS The world will be VERY DIFFERENT in 25 years or 50 years or 100 years and BCHD’s lust for $1M/year should not steal our children’s ability to make better decisions next year, or next decade, or at any time in the future.

I oppose BCHD’s scheme and urge the District to cut its costs instead of stealing from future generations.

Sincerely,
William and Vivian Shanney

You could save money by simply cutting the executive salaries by 33% or cut the Overall BCHD budget by 7%.

I oppose BCHD’s scheme and urge the District to cut its costs instead of stealing from future generations ability to make decisions in the future. I love Redondo Beach. A better plan is to just cut the BCHD budget.
