SNOW QUEEN
Inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's timeless tale, Redondo Ballet brings a fresh and exhilarating interpretation to the stage, following a brother's epic journey to rescue his sister from the clutches of the Snow Queen. The story opens with a vibrant and joyous gypsy wedding, a celebration of dance and music. As the gypsies continue their travels, they encounter Rudie and his sister, Pearl, enjoying a carefree picnic with friends. Among the travelers lurks the sinister Snow Queen, who watches Pearl with envy. Overcome by jealousy, she freezes summer and steals Pearl away, leaving behind only her cherished red scarf. Frantic, Rudie begins his search, showing the scarf to all he meets. But his quest takes a dark turn when the Snow Queen tricks him with a poisoned apple, casting him into a dreamlike state. In this surreal world, Rudie embarks on a breathtaking odyssey, encountering cowboys, mermaids, jungle creatures, northern lights, daring pirates, elegant Parisians, and even intergalactic travelers. Each encounter brings him closer to his goal, but Pearl remains imprisoned under the Queen's icy rule. Will Rudie and Pearl ever be reunited? Is this fantastical journey a mere dream, or has reality itself transformed into a grand adventure? Prepare to be transported into a world of magic, wonder, and breathtaking dance as The Snow Queen unfolds on stage! SCENES

MISSION
The Redondo Ballet's mission is to deliver original and unique works of dance to ballet enthusiasts and to those that have yet to discover the art of dance, while providing a nurturing, challenging and creative environment that enables dancers to artistically thrive.
We will build our foundation on works of unparalleled excellence, rooted in the classical tradition with a conscious commitment to create distinctive, innovative works of art.
We will instill in each dancer, with our Ballet in a Box Program, the importance of outreach and philanthropic endeavors.
OUR VISION
Dance has the power to facilitate emotion, to tell a story...to change a life. Redondo Ballet is a passionate advocate for dancers in the training and pursuit of a classical dance education whereby empowerment exudes from every dancer as they delve into the philosophies of a classical education that are imparted upon them on a daily basis, giving the dancers the ability and power to craft a narrative that creates a connection with an audience that ranges from the earnest realities of life to the heights of frivolity. We attain our vision of outreach and philanthropic endeavors with the Ballet in a Box program.
Ballet in a Box
Redondo Ballet, a non-profit 501(c) (3) organization, will travel across the United States and around the world to bring a BAL beautifully decorated box containing all the components required (costumes, leotards, tights, music, shoes, make-up and accessories - all donated), to perform a scene from an original LET Redondo Ballet production. Redondo Ballet has had the honor to take Ballet in a Box to Belize, South Los Angeles (St. Columbkille), Long Beach (St. Lucy's), Redondo Beach (Jefferson Elementary School), Mychal's Learning Place in Hawthorne, LAMusART, and the Salvation Army in Torrance.
Ballet in a Box is designed to provide an all-inclusive program to dance organizations and schools that have been lacking resources. California State law requires that every grade level must have an arts program, yet 80% of schools fall short of this mandate. Ballet in a Box fills this gap and helps schools meet the standard. Ballet in a Box also takes the gift of dance to under-served and marginalized communities and studios.
