A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
REDONDO BEACH, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING A 2025-
2026 FISCAL YEAR BUDGET MODIFICATION TO
APPROPRIATE $17,108 IN DEPARTMENT OF RESOURCES
RECYCLING AND RECOVERY (“CALRECYCLE”) GRANT
FUNDS TO THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL GRANTS FUND
WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Redondo Beach to review the adopted budget from time to time; and
WHEREAS, the adopted budget of the City of Redondo Beach (“City”) needs to be modified from time to time to appropriate monies from state or federal or other program grants to City funds for allowable expenditures; and
WHEREAS, the City has received an allocation of $17,108 in CalRecycle grant funds; and
WHEREAS, the City intends to use these funds for recycling programs, water bottle filling stations and recycling equipment; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to appropriate the $17,108 in CalRecycle grant funds to the Intergovernmental Grants Fund for allowable expenditures.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDONDO BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That conditions have arisen during the 2025-2026 budget year that require budget modifications and, upon recommendation of the City Manager, the budget as adopted for Fiscal Year 2025-2026 is modified as follows:
$17,108 in grant funding from CalRecycle shall be appropriated to the Intergovernmental Grants Fund revenue and expenditure budgets established for the grant award and associated with the Public Works Department.
SECTION 2. Pursuant to Section 11(f) of the City Charter, the City Clerk is hereby directed and instructed to correct the budget records of said City for Fiscal Year 2025-2026 in accordance with the above modification.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by the City Council.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and shall enter the same in the Book of Original Resolutions.
