Westem Sycamore, Wildemess Park
On April 10, 1872, Nebraska held the Nation's first
Arbor Day. It is estimated that one million trees were
planted on that day. Trees were planted to prevent
soil erosion, provide shade, supply building materials
and fuel, and provide windbreaks. for TREES
Today, Arbor Day is celebrated across the United States and around the world!
