A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
REDONDO BEACH, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING A 2025-2026
FISCAL YEAR BUDGET MODIFICATION TO APPROPRIATE
$9,643 IN DEPARTMENT OF RESOURCES RECYCLING AND
RECOVERY (CALRECYCLE) GRANT FUNDS TO THE
INTERGOVERNMENTAL GRANTS FUND
WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Redondo Beach (“City Council”) to review the adopted budget from time to time; and WHEREAS, the City’s adopted budget needs to be modified from time to time to appropriate monies from state or federal or other program grants to City funds for allowable expenditures; and
WHEREAS, the City has received an allocation of $9,643 in CalRecycle grant funds; and WHEREAS, the City intends to use these funds for used oil program and public education.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDONDO BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That conditions have arisen during the budget year that require a modification to budget appropriations; and, upon recommendation of the City Manager, the budget appropriation as adopted for Fiscal Year 2025-2026 is modified as follows:
$9,643 in grant funding from CalRecycle shall be appropriated to the Intergovernmental Grants Fund revenue and expenditure budgets established for the grant award and associated with the Public Works Department.
SECTION 2. Pursuant to Section 11(f) of the City Charter, the City Clerk is hereby directed to correct the budget records of said City for Fiscal Year 2025-2026 in accordance with the above modification.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and shall enter the same in the Book of Original Resolutions.
