Subject: Letter of Intent to Award Homeless Services and Housing Funding Dear Mike,
This letter serves as notice of intent to award funding to the City of Redondo Beach for the following homeless housing and services investments:
• $260,000 for Single Room Occupancy (SRO) Program & Motel The proposed budget allocations were approved during the April 11, 2026 South Bay Cities Council of Governments (SBCCOG) Steering Committee meeting. However, please be advised that contracts and funding agreements cannot be formally executed until the SBCCOG Memorandum of Understanding with LA County's Department of Homeless Services and Housing (HSH) is fully approved and executed.

To not delay the contracting process, we support the City moving forward with its internal approval and administrative processes at this time for planning purposes only. This does not constitute a binding funding agreement or authorization to incur reimbursable expenses at this time.

We appreciate the City’s partnership and continued commitment to addressing homelessness through expanded housing and shelter opportunities. Additional information regarding contracting timelines and next steps will be provided as soon as the SBCCOG-LA County agreement is finalized.

Sincerely,
Jacki Bacharach
SBCCOG Executive Director
