RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF THE REDONDO BEACH UNIFIED
SCHOOL DISTRICT TO REQUEST CONSOLIDATION OF THE ELECTION OF THE
BOARD OF EDUCATION WITH THE REDONDO BEACH MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD TUESDAY, MARCH 2, 2027
WHEREAS, the Redondo Beach Unified School District is subject to the provision of Chapter XVI of the Redondo Beach City Charter and,
WHEREAS, the Redondo Beach Unified School District will have two (2) seats vacant on the Board of Education effective April 1, 2027.
WHEREAS, the election for these seats will be held on Tuesday, March 2, 2027 and WHEREAS, for efficiency and fiscal responsibility, it is in the best interest of the District that the School Board election be consolidated with the Redondo Beach General Municipal election,
NOW, therefore, the Board of Education of the Redondo Beach Unified School District does hereby request the Council of the City of Redondo Beach that:
The March 2, 2027 election for the Redondo Beach Unified School District Board of Education be consolidated with the March 2, 2027 General Municipal election, and
The Redondo Beach City Clerk's Office conduct the School Board election on behalf of the Redondo Beach Unified School District.
