A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
REDONDO BEACH, CALIFORNIA, AWARDING A PUBLIC
WORKS CONTRACT TO DT STELLAR GENERAL
ENGINEERING, A CALIFORNIA CORPORATION, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $537,887.50 FOR THE CITYWIDE CURB RAMP
IMPROVEMENTS 2024 PROJECT (FEDERAL HUD B-26-MC0528), JOB NO. 40399 WHEREAS, twenty-four (24) curb ramps, within the City of Redondo Beach (“City”) require improvements to comply with the American with Disabilities Act; and WHEREAS, on July 7, 2026 the City Council of the City of Redondo Beach approved the Plans and Specifications for the Citywide Curb Ramp Improvements 2024 Project (Federal HUD B-26-MC-0528), Job No. 40399 (the “Project”), and authorized the City Clerk to advertise for competitive bids; and
WHEREAS, bids for this Project were received and publicly opened at the City Clerk’s Office on August 27, 2026; and
WHEREAS, DT Stellar General Engineering, a California corporation (“DT Stellar General Engineering”), is the lowest responsible bidder for this Project, as more particularly described in the Plans and Specifications thereof, and incorporated herein by reference, and has submitted a bid for this Project in the amount of $537,887.50; and WHEREAS, DT Stellar General Engineering shall provide all applicable insurance certificates and bonds to the City for approval prior to the execution of the contract; and WHEREAS, sufficient Capital Project Funds have been appropriated for this Project in the adopted Fiscal Year 2026-2027 Capital Improvement Program Budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDONDO BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Redondo Beach, California, awards the contract for the Citywide Curb Ramp Improvements 2024 Project (Federal HUD B-26-MC-0528), Job No. 40399, to DT Stellar General Engineering, in the amount of $537,887.50 on the condition that all applicable insurance certificates and bonds shall be provided to the City for approval prior to the Mayor executing the contract on behalf of the City.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and shall enter the same in the Book of Original Resolutions.
