A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIALTO, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 7818 AND AMENDING THE 2021-2022 FISCAL YEAR BUDGET RELATING TO FUND 302 TO APPROPRIATE REMAINING FUNDS TO THE FISCAL YEAR 2021-2022 STREET REHABILITATION PROJECT, CITY PROJECT NO. 210804.
WHEREAS, the budget for fiscal year 2021-2022 of the City of Rialto has been adopted by this Council in its original form, and said budget will need to be amended at times to fulfill the goals of the City; and WHEREAS, the City departments may not exceed their appropriations by character of expense, with character of expense being defined as personnel services, services and supplies, capital outlay, debt service and transfers, without the consent of the City Manager; and WHEREAS, the City Manager may transfer appropriations, between departments and within their respective funds, as long as those appropriations do not exceed their fund total unless approved by Council; and WHEREAS, Fund 302 carries balance and previously appropriated expenditures in the amount of $8,783,117; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to appropriate these funds for the Fiscal Year 2021-2022 Street Rehabilitation Project, City Project No. 210804.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIALTO DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: The City Council hereby approves an appropriation of $3,662,230 from Fund 302, 2005 TABS, for expenditures related to the Fiscal Year 2021-2022 Street Rehabilitation Project, City Project No. 210804 pursuant to Section 2 of this Resolution. It is the intention of the City Council to fully appropriate the balance of funds held in Fund 302 for expenditure, and the City Manager is authorized to adjust the actual amount of appropriation to reflect the specific amount of funds held in Fund 302 yet to be appropriated at the time of this action.
Section 2: The Fiscal Year 2021/2022 Budget is hereby amended to authorize a transfer in the amount of $3,662,230 (as may be further adjusted) from Fund 302 reserves pursuant to Section 1 of this Resolution for increased appropriations for expenditures in Fund 302 in the Account No. 302-500-1799-3001. .
