RESOLUTION NO._____
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIALTO, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE 2021-2022 FISCAL YEAR BUDGET WHEREAS, the budget for fiscal year 2021-2022 of the City of Rialto has been adopted by this Council in its original form, and said budget will need to be amended at times to fulfill the goals of the City; and WHEREAS, the City departments may not exceed their appropriations by character of expense, with character of expense being defined as personnel services, services and supplies, capital outlay, debt service and transfers, without the consent of the City Manager; and WHEREAS, the City Manager may transfer appropriations, between departments and within their respective funds, as long as those appropriations do not exceed their fund total unless approved by Council; and WHEREAS, the City departments may not hire in excess of the approved number of positions in job classification as indicated by the budget detail without the consent of the City Council; and WHEREAS, the City Council did receive a presentation on the status of the first six months of the City’s 2021-2022 Fiscal Year Budget (the “Mid-Year Budget Review”) on February 22, 2022, and did approve amendments to the adopted budget as presented herein this Resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIALTO DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

The City Manager may adjust account numbers to reflect the intention of this transfer.
Section 6: Authorize an appropriation in the General Fund in the amount of $5,000,000 for transfer to the OPEB Trust Fund, and increase revenues in the OPEB Trust Fund, Account No. 821-400-0001-7795 in the amount of $5,000,000 for the transfer from the General Fund, and increase expenditures and approve an appropriation in the OPEB Trust Fund, Account No. 821-500-0001-2011 in the amount of $5,000,000. The City Manager may adjust account numbers to reflect the intention of this transfer.
Section 7: Authorize an appropriation in the General Fund, Account No. 010-500-0001-5730 in the amount of $3,000,000 for transfer to the General Liability Fund, and increase revenues in the General Liability Fund, Account No. 730-400-2148-9010 in the amount of $3,000,000 for the transfer from the General Fund, and increase expenditures and approve an appropriation in the General Liability Fund, Account No. 730-500-2148-2011 in the amount of $3,000,000. The City Manager may adjust account numbers to reflect the intention of this transfer. \\\\
