RE: RENAMING HISTORICAL SOCIETY MUSEUM
Honorable Mayor and Council Members:
Thank you for remembering JEAN MORGAN RANDALL. She was indeed a wonderful women and a special member of our community.
As the President of the Historical Society, I am writing to share some information.
The Museum has been lead by some amazing individuals, all with different emphasis during their terms. The Museum was named and dedicated to one of these people, JOHN ABERCHERLI who is responsible for the quality of the decor. The dedication plaque has been mising for several years.
The Society would like to offer an alternative suggestion. A larger memorial plaque to which names could be added. We have a suggested list to start...
DOROTHY GALLEY, DR. MERLIN HENDRICKSEN, ELIZABETH HUGHBANKS,
GRETA HODGES, JOHN ADAMS, JOHN ABACHERLI, JEAN MORGAN RANDALL, and JO ANNE TRAPP ELLIOTT.
All of these individuals have provided outstanding and long-term service to preserving the history of RIALTO. Using the Commemorative Plaque, will honor these people and allow for easy recognition of future honorees. And you will avoid unnecessry conflict in the community.
