3 5. Now I would like to read you some different statements you might hear about this topic.
Some say that the use and sale of legal fireworks in Rialto has allowed bad actors to bring and use dangerous illegal fireworks into the community without consequence. The only way to cut down on fireworks that are dangerous and disturbing our community is by taking a strong stance to ban all fireworks.

6. Now I will read you a different view on this topic.
Others say that legal fireworks are already heavily regulated in Rialto.
Community organizations and nonprofits have a strong tradition legally selling what are called QUOTE “safe and sane fireworks” as fundraisers that residents enjoy on the July 4th holiday. Banning the sale of fireworks in Rialto is impractical and won’t accomplish anything because fireworks – whether legal or illegal – would still make their way into Rialto from elsewhere.
