Our approach
combines wise counsel
and trusted methods
Quantitative research with statistically significant
findings are the central component of effective
research. Surveys are either conducted online or by
telephone depending on the audience.
We sample extremely diverse types of audiences
for quantitative surveys.
In addition to general audiences like likely voters or
general population, we commonly sample more
specific audiences such as investors; consumers of
specific products; and professionals in various
industries like healthcare, IT, or sales. If a client has a large enough customer or member list, we also
survey “client provided sample” to understand the
needs of a specific group.

How Survey
Sampling Works
How can a poll of only 1,004 Americans represent 260
million people with only a 3 percent margin of error?
https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/howcan-a-poll-of-only-100/ Qualitative research is focused on exploration. We
leverage traditional methods such as in-depth
interviews, in-person and online focus groups, as
well as enhanced techniques such as ethnography
and interactive digital discussion boards.
Unlike quantitative methods that are useful for
measurement, qualitative techniques unlock depth
and nuance to help us understand not just what an
audience thinks, but also how feel.
While qualitative can never be truly representative –
in other words, we cannot assume the findings are
statistically valid – it sheds deeper light on complex
topics.

Core Dimensions is CODA’s proprietary analytics
process that can craft coalitions of voters to form
consensus on key issues or concepts.
For over 7+ years, this approach has help clients
achieve victory in challenging electoral contests
across the country.
Our unique approach goes beyond simplistic “bi-
pole” modeling to identify voters’ dominant
decision-making “DNA” strands, upstream of party
and ideology. The result is a generationally more
advanced tool that can guide effective targeting
strategies in today’s hyper-polarized environment.

Research Recommendation
Trustworthy quantitative research provides the
ability to accurately understand public opinion and
craft effective strategies for topics such as ballot
measures.
Through scientifically-valid, statistically-sound
polling, we leverages a small, representative
sample of the population to understand the
sentiments of the larger universe.
In City of Rialto, California – which has ~42,000
registered voters – a survey with N=250 completed
interviews among likely voters would provide
meaningful findings within a +/-6.20% margin of
error at the 95% confidence interval.
Overview
Rialto, CA

survey among likely voters in Rialto. Telephone
