A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIALTO IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING A SPECIFIC PLAN AMENDMENT TO CHANGE THE LAND USE DESIGNATION OF TWO PARCELS LOCATED AT 1364 W FOOTHILL BOULEVARD (APN: 0128-011-32) AND 475 N LINDEN AVENUE (APN: 0128-011-33) WITHIN THE FOOTHILL BOULEVARD SPECIFIC PLAN FROM RESIDENTIAL-MIXED USE TO COMMERCIAL-PEDESTRIAN WHEREAS, the two parcels located at 1364 W Foothill Boulevard (APN: 0128-011-32) and 475 N Linden Avenue (APN: 0128-011-33) are designated Residential-Mixed Use in the Foothill Boulevard Specific Plan; and, WHEREAS, both properties have remained vacant and are believed by the Economic Development Committee and the Planning Division to be better served and would attract development if the parcels were rezoned Commercial-Pedestrian; and, WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 18.78.060 of the Rialto Municipal Code, specific plan amendments shall be initiated by the Planning Commission and authorized by the City Council; and, WHEREAS, the Planning Commission initiated the Specific Plan Amendment on August 31, 2022.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIALTO DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: The City Council of the City of Rialto, pursuant to Rialto Municipal Code Section 18.78.060, hereby authorizes a specific plan amendment to change the designation of two (2) parcels identified as 1364 W Foothill Boulevard (APN: 012801132) and 475 N Linden Avenue (APN: 012801133) from Residential-Mixed Use to Commercial-Pedestrian in the Foothill Boulevard Specific Plan.
