City Manager, City of Rialto

Rialto, CA 92376
Dear Mr. Fuller:
This letter is in response to your request for references for the Swinerton/Griffin Team.
On March 19, 2017 the City of Salinas entered into an agreement with the Development Team of Griffin/Swinerton and LPA Inc. to design, build and deliver a new $49 million Public Safety Center for the City of Salinas.
The Griffin/Swinteron and LPA team were selected from a lengthy public solicitation process that begun December 10, 2016 and resulted in an excellent candidate pool of five teams. The Griffin/Swinerton team has a long resume of successful public projects of this nature.
Groundbreaking occurred September 10, 2018. The building was finalized in January 2020 and dedicated in April 2020.
The cost of the Salinas Police Services Building:
Original Griffin/Swinerton Contract $49,430,143.00
Approved Change Orders $ 2,925,261.13*
Final Contract Sum $52,355,404.13
No City funds were used for change orders which were funded through project earnings and capitalized interest savings
The Swinerton/Griffin team kept the project moving and kept the City informed throughout the project. The project was completed on time and within budget.
CITY OF SALINAS
