2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
3 RIALTO, CALIFORNIA, FOR PAYING AND REPORTING THE
VALUE OF EMPLOYEE MEMBER PAID CONTRIBUTIONS
4 5 WHEREAS, the governing body of the City of Rialto has the authority to implement 6 Government Code Section 20636 (c) (4) pursuant to section 20691; and 7 WHEREAS, the governing body of the City of Rialto has a written labor policy or agreement 8 which specifically provides for the normal member contributions to be paid by the employer, and 9 reported as additional compensation; and
10 WHEREAS, one of the steps in the procedures to implement Section 20691 is the adoption by 11 the governing body of the City of Rialto of a Resolution to commence paying and reporting the value of 12 said Employer Paid Member Contributions (EPMC); and
13 WHEREAS, the governing body of the City of Rialto has identified the following conditions for 14 the purpose of its election to pay EPMC;
15 • This benefit shall apply to all employees of the Rialto City Government Management 16 Association (CGMA) and the Rialto Fire Management bargaining units. 17 • This benefit shall consist of paying 7% of the normal contributions as EPMC, and 18 reporting the same percent (value) of compensation earnable (excluding Government 19 Code Section 20636 (c) (4)) as additional compensation for the miscellaneous employees. 20 • This benefit shall consist of paying 9% of the normal contributions as EPMC, and 21 reporting the same percent (value) of compensation earnable (excluding Government 22 Code Section 20636 (c) (4)) as additional compensation for the safety employees. 23 • The effective date of this Resolution shall be January 1, 2010. 24 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIALTO DOES 25 HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
26 That the governing body of the City of Rialto elects to pay and report the value of EPMC, as set 27 forth above.
