A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RIALTO, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM AND AMENDING ITS 20 22-2023
FISCAL BUDGET TO ADD “ J&K AUTO BODY DEMOLITION,
CITY PROJECT NO. 230205,” AND APPR OPRIATING A
BUDGET OF $500,000.
WHEREAS, the budget for fiscal year 20 22-2023 of the City of Rialto has been adopted by this Council in its original form, and said budget will need to be amended at times to fulfill the goals of the City; and
WHEREAS, the City departments may not exceed their appropriations by character of expense, with character of expense being defined as personnel services, services and supplies, capital outlay, debt service and transfers, without the consent of the City Administrator; and
WHEREAS, the City Administrator may transfer appropriations, between departments and within their respective funds, as long as those appropriations do not exceed their fund total unless approved by Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Counc il of the City of R ialto requires a f ive-year Capital Improvement Program (CIP), which is updated annually; and WHEREAS, the CIP may be amended from time to time to include additional capital improvement projects that were not originally identified in the CIP adopted by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City’s unrestricted General Fund reserves for the start of Fiscal Year 2022-23 are $17,653,074.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CIT Y COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIALTO DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Authorize a transfer from the General Fund unrestricted reserves in the amount of $500,000 to the Major Capital Project Fund, and a corresponding increase in an

expenditure appropriation in the Major Ca pital Project Fund, Account No. 300-500-7302- 3001, in the amount of $ 500,000 for th e “J&K Auto Body Demolition, City Proj ect No. 230205.”
Section 3: Amend the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) to include the “J&K Auto Body Demolition, City Project No. 230205.”
WHEREFORE, this Resolution is passed, approved and adopted this 10th day of January 2023.
