RUA RESOLUTION NO.XX-XX
A RESOLUTION OF THE UTILITY AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF RIALTO, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE UTILITY SERVICE WASTEWATER BUDGET IN FUND 660, APPROVE THE FINAL CONSTRUCTION WORK AUTHORIZATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $3,167,063 TO RIALTO WATER SERVICES, AND AUTHORIZE THE ACTING CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ALL RELATED DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, section 6.10 of the concession agreement (CA) between the City of Rialto, Rialto Utility Authority, and Rialto Water Services, LP, discusses additional improvements to the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) that may be initiated from time to time by request of Rialto Utility Authority (RUA) or Rialto Water Services (RWS), including “as warranted to incorporate technology or improvements to the efficiency, performance, or reliability of the facility.
WHEREAS, the Rialto Utility Authority of the City of Rialto authorized RWS to move forward on Phase 1 and Phase 2 on installing/constructing an energy microgrid at the WWTP; and WHEREAS, the Rialto Utility Authority of the City of Rialto authorized RWS to move forward on some additional studies for help to complete Phase 2 of the project that consisted of Biosolids Upgrade Study at the WWTP, Plants 1&2 demolition engineering, and GMP preparation, and additional electrical design & investigation for determining electrical as-built conditions at the WWTP.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE RIALTO UTILITY AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF RIALTO DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Adopt RUA Resolution No. XX-XX to amend the utilities services wastewater budget in fund 660-500-7860-3001 to support costs totaling $3,167,063.
Section 2: Approve the Final Construction Work Authorization in the amount of $3,167,063 to Rialto Water Services for 60% design and preparation of a Guarantee Maximum Price for Biosolids Handling Equipment totaling $1,833,600 and the Purchase of batteries and substation equipment for the Microgrid Project totaling $1,333,463. Both projects are funded by Prior Year fund balance.
Section 3: Authorize the Acting City Manager to execute all related documents. \\\\
