RESOLUTION NO. ____
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIALTO TERMINATING THE PROCLAMATION OF THE EXISTENCE OF AN EMERGENCY SITUATION AND LOCAL EMERGENCY DUE TO THE WORLDWIDE SPREAD OF COVID-19.
WHEREAS, on March 4, 2020, Governor Newsom of the State of California declared a State of Emergency in response to the COVID-19 (Corona Virus Disease 19); and, WHEREAS, on Tuesday, March 10, 2020, the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Bernardino proclaimed the existence of a local emergency for all of San Bernardino County in response to the outbreak of the COVID-19 in California and its impact on the County of San Bernardino; and, WHEREAS, on March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) publicly characterized COVID-19 as a pandemic; and, WHEREAS, on March 12, 2020, the City of Rialto Proclaimed the existence of an emergency situation and the local emergency to the worldwide spread of COVID-19; and WHEREAS, the City of Rialto is actively providing support to those impacted by COVID-19 and cooperating with county and federal agencies in their response to the outbreak.
WHEREAS, on June 11, 2021, the Governor issued Executive Order N-07-21, which rescinded prior state orders pertaining to COVID-19, including the Blueprint for a Safer Economy; and WHEREAS, on March 1, 2022, the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Bernardino terminated the existence of a local emergency for all of San Bernardino County; and WHEREAS, on February 28, 2023, Governor Newsom of the State of California terminated the State of Emergency in response to the COVID-19 (Corona Virus Disease 19); and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIALTO, CALIFORNIA AS FOLLOWS:
The Emergency and Local Emergency due to the worldwide spread of COVID-19 that was proclaimed by the City of Rialto on March 12, 2020, is hereby terminated.
