RESOLUTION NO. XXXX
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIALTO, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZES THE CITY MANAGER AS THE SIGNATORY FOR THE SUBMITTAL, ACCEPTANCE, AND EXECUTION OF THE FY 2022 Cal OES PROGRAM APPLICATION FOR THE EMERGENCY OPERATIONS CENTER WHEREAS, the City of Rialto proposes to make improvements to the existing facility; and WHEREAS, the City of Rialto has the legal authority and is authorized to enter into a funding agreement with the State of California for the Cal OES Grant; and WHEREAS, the City of Rialto intends to apply for grant funding from the State of California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services for FY 22; and WHEREAS, the recommendation includes designating the City Manager as the signatory to execute all applicable applications, documents, agreements, amendments, etc.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIALTO DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That pursuant and subject to all of the terms and provisions of Budget Act of 2021 (Stats. 2021, ch. 240, § 80) as amended (Stats. 2022, ch. 44, § 25), the City of Rialto City Manager, or designee is hereby authorized and directed to prepare and file an application for funding with the State of California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services and take such other actions necessary or appropriate to obtain grant funding.
Section 2: The Rialto City Council designates the City Manager or designee and hereby authorizes and directs them to execute the funding agreement with the State of California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services and any amendments thereto.
Section 3: The City of Rialto City Manager, or designee is hereby authorized and directed to submit any required documents, invoices, and reports required to obtain grant funding.
Section 4: The City Clerk shall certify the adoption of this resolution PASSED APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 11th day of April 2023. _______________________________
