1 RUA RESOLUTION NO.
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE UTILITY AUTHORITY OF THE CITY
OF RIALTO, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE UTILITY SERVICE WASTEWATER BUDGET IN FUND 660, APPROVE THE FIANL CONSTRUCTION WORK AUTHORIZATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,355,750 TO RIALTO WATER SERVICES, AND AUTHORIZE THE ACTING CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ALL RELATED DOCUMENTS. 4 WHEREAS, the section 6.10 of the Concession Agreement (CA), entitled, “Capital Projects”, the CA discusses additional improvements to the Wastewater Facility that may be initiated from time to time by request of the Rialto Utility Authority (RUA) or Rialto Water Services (RWS), including “as warranted to incorporate technology or improvements to the efficiency, performance, or reliability of the facility”; and WHEREAS, In August of 2022, Dopudja & Wells Consulting completed a Wastewater Master Plan Update which identified an area of concern for the collection system downstream of the Sycamore Sewer Lift Station, as the existing sewer line will not be able to support the capacity required for future development; and WHEREAS, RWS and RUA staff plan on phasing the sewer improvements into 3 phases in order to have all work completed before the City starts the installation of new medians in Baseline road this summer and fall 2023; and WHEREAS, the City Manager may transfer appropriations, between departments and within their respective funds if those appropriations do not exceed their fund total unless approved by the Rialto Utility Authority Board of Directors.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE RIALTO UTILTIY AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF RIALTO DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Approve an appropriation in Sewer Fund for the Capital Improvement account for the Final Construction Work Authorization to Rialto Water Services for the construction of Baseline Road Sewer Trunk Line Project in Account No. 660-500-7860-3001 in the amount of $2,355,750, utilizing revenues for Development Impact Fees of approximately $1,000,000 in account 660-400-7150-7703. The remainder of $1,355,750 will utilize prior year fund balance. \\\\
