A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIALTO, CALIFORNIA, TO ACCEPT ADDITIONAL HIGHWAY SAFETY IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (HSIP) CYCLE 8 GRANT FUNDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE MEDIAN ISLAND ON BASELINE ROAD BETWEEN WILLOW AVENUE AND PEPPER AVENUE, APPROPRIATE LOCAL MEASURE I FUNDS, AND AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2023-2024 BUDGET.
WHEREAS, the budget for fiscal year 2023-2024 of the City of Rialto has been adopted by this Council in its original form, and said budget will need to be amended at times to fulfill the goals of the City; and WHEREAS, the City departments may not exceed their appropriations by character of expense, with character of expense being defined as personnel services, services and supplies, capital outlay, debt service and transfers, without the consent of the City Administrator; and WHEREAS, the City Administrator may transfer appropriations, between departments and within their respective funds, as long as those appropriations do not exceed their fund total unless approved by Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIALTO DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Approve an increase in estimated revenues in the amount of $577,710 to the Grants Project Fund, Account Number 22234420-47536; and Section 2: Authorize the appropriation of $842,738 from Grants Project Fund, Account Number; 22234420-53001-170812-05 for $540,630; and Grants Project Fund, Account Number; 22234420-53001-170812-16 for $37,080; and Measure I Fund, Account Number; 22014310-53001-170812-04 for $37,520; and Measure I Fund, Account Number; 22014310-53001-170812-15 for $13,620; and Measure I Fund, Account Number; 22014310-53001-170812-22 for $213,888 For the construction of the Median Island on Baseline Road between Willow Avenue and Pepper Avenue, project expenditures.
