RUA RESOLUTION NO. XX-XX
A RESOLUTION OF THE UTILITY AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF RIALTO, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE UTILITY SERVICE WATER AND WASTEWATER BUDGET IN FUND 680, APPROVE THE THIRD AMENDMENT TO PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH DOPUDJA & WELLS CONSULTING IN THE AMOUNT OF $974,881 TO SUPPORT ADDITIONAL CONSULTING COSTS, AND AUTHORIZE THE INTERIM CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ALL RELATED DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, the Rialto Utility Authority of the City of Rialto is currently utilizing the professional services of Stephen Dopudja through his company Dopudja & Wells Consulting, Inc.; and WHEREAS, the Rialto Utility Authority of the City of Rialto has the legal authority and is authorized to amend the Water and Wastewater budget; and WHEREAS, the Rialto Utility Authority of the City of Rialto intends to appropriate funds towards Water and Wastewater projects pertaining to Additional Services for the As-Needed Support Activities, Water Supply Assessment (WSA), Rialto Habitat Nature Center (RHNC) - formally known as Lake Rialto, and Second Amendment to the Professional Services Agreement for IEUA Effluent Monetization.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE RIALTO UTILITY AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF RIALTO DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That pursuant and subject to all of the terms and provisions of the Budget Act of 2021 (Stats. 2021, ch. 240, § 80) as amended (Stats. 2022, ch. 44, § 25), the Rialto Utility Authority of the City of Rialto’s City Manager, or designee is hereby authorized and directed to amend the Water and Wastewater budget to support additional costs of $974,881 in consulting expenses.
Section 2: the Rialto Utility Authority of the City of Rialto’s City Manager or designee is hereby authorized and directed to execute the Budget Amendment and any amendments thereto.
Section 3: the Rialto Utility Authority of the City of Rialto’s City Manager or designee is hereby authorized and directed to submit any required documents, invoices, and reports required to obtain grant funding. \\\\
